太极拳教育家李德印教授将莅临北维州太极友社指导练拳
北维州太极友社十分荣幸地邀请到了当代最有影响力的太极拳教育家李德印教授于9月12日周六上午8:30-10:00前来指导社友练拳。李教授原籍河北省安新县,出身武术世家,自幼在祖父李玉琳、叔父李天骥指导下习练少林拳、形意拳、太极拳、八卦掌和武当剑。1957 年考入中国人民大学,1961 年毕业留校,先后任体育部教师、教授、主任等职,1999 年荣休。 曾获得“中华武林百杰”、“中国武术段位九段”、“国际级武术裁判员”、“国家级社会体育指导员”、“全国优秀体育裁判员”称号。 曾任十一届亚运会中国武术队太极拳教练;第四、五、六届全国运动会武术比赛裁判长;“42 式太极拳竞赛套路”,“四十八式太极拳”编写组执笔人。主要著作有“形意拳术”、“太极拳规范教程”、“武当太极剑”、“太极功夫扇”等。

The
Northern Virginia Taiji Friends Club is excited to announce that Professor
Deyin Li 李德印, famous Taiji master, will come to ourTaiji Friends Club on Sept 12, 8:30-10:00
to give demonstrations of various Taiji forms at 3901 Fair Ridge, Suite 270,
Fairfax, VA 22033 . Observation is free. All are invited. Professor
Deyin Li is the world’s most influential Taiji educator. His works have
benefited millions of Taiji learners. Professor Li grew up in a famous Wushu
(martial arts) family in Hebei Province, China. Professor Li started his Wushu
training from his childhood under the supervision of his father and uncle, both
being recognized as great martial artists (His uncle Li Tianji was the creator
of the most popular Taiji form, the 24-Posture simplified Taiji form). Prior to his retirement in 1999, he
was a professor in the Department of Physical Education, Renmin University of
China. He was officially recognized as one of the 100 greatest conttemporary
martial artists of China, a Level 9 (the highest level possible) Wushu master,
and an international Wushu referee. He was the Taiji coach for China’s national
team for the 11th Asian Games, the head Wushu referee for the 4th, 5th, and 6th
National Games of China. He was the creator of the popular 42-Posture Taijiquan
Contest Form and the 48-Action Taijiquan Form. The books he has authored
include “Xing Yi Quan (Appearance-Mind Boxing)”, “Standardized Taiji Teaching”,
“Wudang Taiji Sword”, “Taiji Gongfu Fan”, etc. The Taiji
Friends Club of Greater Washington Northern Virginia Chapter, also known as the
TFCGW-NVA, is a nonreligious, nonpolitical and nonprofit organization. The
Taiji Friends Club of Greater Washington was founded by the Northwestern
Chinese American Association of Greater Washington (NCAAGW), serving as one of
its many social clubs. The
TFCGW-NVA is organized, governed, and managed to serve all Taiji enthusiasts,
and welcomes all races, ethnic backgrounds, origins and nationalities. The
TFCGW-NVA philosophy treats everyone as one big family, following these tenets: ·
Create
a community of connected Taiji enthusiasts, share information, provide a mutual
learning platform, provide a convenient gathering place, and create conditions
for a common learning environment ·
Actively
participate in local Chinese cultural events/activities, Taiji performances,
promote and spread Taiji benefits. ·
Advocate
Chinese traditional Taiji cultural heritage, improve people’s understanding of
the essence of Taiji, helping more people enjoy the health and well-being that
Taiji brings ·

Membership
is free. Fees for practicing Taiji are collected to cover the facility rental. ·
