Six Flags Halloween Fright Fest 2015

September 26- November 1, 2015.

Enjoy the spooky attractions and shows at Six Flags America during Fright Fest, one of the Baltimore - Washington, DC area’s largest Halloween celebrations. The annual event runs Saturdays and Sundays from September 26 - November 1, 2015, noon to 6 p.m. Six Flags is located on Route 214, Central Avenue, in Upper Marlboro, MD, approximately five miles from I-495 and just 30 minutes from downtown Washington, DC.

Halloween 2015 at Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion offers a variety of Halloween events - the Halloween Haunt with scary nighttime entertainment and the Planet Snoopy Halloween event providing daytime Halloween fun for younger kids. The Virginia amusement park brings the season to life with ten mazes, six scare zones, more than 20 thrill rides and more monsters and creepers than ever before. Halloween family-favorite activities include a hay maze, pumpkin painting, the chance to get behind the wheel of a pedal tractor, live entertainment and more.

Saturday is the busiest day, so Friday night or all day Sunday are the best days to visit.

Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo is a Washington, DC favorite Halloween tradition. Children visit the National Zoo at dark and enjoy trick-or-treating, animal encounters, keeper talks, festive decorations, and haunted trails. Proceeds from Boo at the Zoo benefit the Zoo’s conservation science and animal care programs. The Bird House, Small Mammal House, Reptile Discovery Center, Great Apes House, Think Tank and Kids’ Farm, Great Cats and the Elephant Community Center will be open and filled with Halloween-themed enrichment for the animals.

The event is geared to children ages 4 to 12.

2015 Dates: October 23-25, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Admission: Tickets are required and usually sell out in advance. They will be available for FONZ members ($20 per person) on Sept. 1 and for non-members ($30 per person) on Sept. 15. Children ages two and up must have a ticket. You may purchase tickets atnationalzoo.si.edu.

Night of the Living Zoo in DC

Night of the Living Zoo, the adult-only event at the National Zoo in Washington DC, is a popular annual Halloween party with bone-chilling and mind-boggling performance art including palm readers, fire eaters, talking bats, and illusionists. Participants dress in costume while enjoying the little monsters that live at the Small Mummy House, Ghastly Ape House, Reptile Disgusting Center, Trick Tank and more.

Synetic Theater's Vampire's Ball -

The Vampire's Ball will follow the performance of Alice in Wonderland. Guests will dance the night away, courtesy of Resident Composer and Halloween DJ Konstantine Lortkipanidze. The event will also include an open bar, light appetizers and costume contest with prizes.
