 80-20华盛顿分会授权发布 11月3日是选举日，费郡的家长们尤其关心本郡教育董事会的选举。华人社区空前动员起来了，准备积极投入本次选举。我们不再沉默，我们希望我们的声音被关注; 我们关心我们的社区 – 特别是要让我郡的教育质量保持一流。 80-20华盛顿分会是追求机会均等司法公正的无党派亚裔政治组织。 我们非常振奋地看到华人社区领袖和成员不懈地动员大家参与这一重要选举。 80-20华盛顿分会大力支持费郡家长投票选出最合格的新一届董事会成员。我们希望有一个董事会能保持和加强我们择优教育的传统; 我们希望有一个董事会，在作直接影响孩子和家长的政策时，能展示足够的透明度; 我们希望有一个董事会，愿意深入到我们的社区倾听家长们的意见; 我们希望有一个董事会，可以有效地管理我们的预算; 我们希望有一个董事会，其成员可以摒弃党派岐见为我郡教育事业的长远福祉共同努力。 80-20成员正在和费郡家长们密切合作动员投票。我们强烈支持家长们的决定，并呼吁所有亚裔选民11月3日去投票， 我们的选票能够而且将会起到举足轻重的作用。 80-20 DC Chapter Calls on Everyone to Vote in Upcoming Fairfax County Election November 3rd is election day and many of our parents in Fairfax County are concerned about the school board election. Chinese communities are unprecedentedly mobilized to participate in this election. We are no longer silent and we want our voices heard. We care about our communities – especially the quality of education in our county's schools. 80-20 Washington D.C. Chapter is a non-partisan Asian American political organization fighting for equal opportunity and justice. 80-20 DC Chapter is extremely encouraged by the activism of Chinese community leaders and members who are tirelessly mobilizing people for this important election. 80-20 DC Chapter strongly supports FCPS parents to vote for the best-qualified school board candidates. We want a school board that can preserve and enhance our merit-based education tradition; we want a school board that will show greater transparency in making policies that directly affect our children and parents; we want a school board that is willing to listen to our parents and to reach out to our communities; we want a school board that can effectively manage our budget; we want a school board whose members can work together in a bi-partisan manner for the long term welfare of our education programs. 80-20 members have been working closely with FCPS parent groups. We strongly support parents' decision and call on all eligible voters to cast their vote on Nov 3rd. Collectively, our votes can and will make a difference. |
