The Old Post Office Pavilion, built in 1899 and restored as a shopping destination in 1978, offers a birds-eye view of Washington, DC from its 270 foot observation deck. The 10-story building is one of the most popular attractions in Washington, with its variety of retail stores, a large food court, and government offices. The Old Post Office Pavilion is located in the heart of Washington, DC between the White House and the U. S. Capitol Building and is convenient to many of the city’s hotels, museums, national monuments, the Verizon Center and the Washington Convention Center.
