一、华盛顿中国文化节青少年作文大赛基本情况 美国华盛顿中国文化节已成功举办22年,成为华裔社区在美最具影响力的文化交流活动之一。应文化节组委会邀请,自2023年起,载道网站(http://thez.us/)已连续承办了两届“华盛顿中国文化节青少年作文大赛”。2025年6月,第三届大赛已正式启动。 这是一场展示才华、表达对中华文化热爱的绝佳机会。无论你是成长于美国的华裔、在美学习的留学生、在华求学的国际学生,还是热爱中国文化的非华裔青少年,我们都热忱欢迎你的参与! 作文大赛作为文化节的重要品牌活动,得到了社会各界的广泛关注和青少年的积极参与,已成为传承中华文化、促进中美青少年交流的重要桥梁。中国驻美大使馆总领事祝笛曾在颁奖典礼上表示:“华盛顿中国文化节是促进中美文化交流的重要平台,而作文大赛为青少年提供了展示才华、表达文化认同的契机。” 载道网站由美国华裔青少年于2021年自主创立,是一个中英文双语平台,致力于鼓励华裔青少年中文写作与文化传承。网站宗旨为:“文以载道,以文会友,用笔墨传承文化,用文字连接世界。” 目前网站拥有十余位编辑和小记者,已累计收到400余位青少年投稿,刊登中英文作品700余篇。网站链接: http://thez.us/ 二、本届大赛主题 题目:文化的桥,连着你和我 (Bridging Cultures: You and Me) 参赛者可选择以下三个方向进行写作: 1. 我所经历的中国文化节 (The Chinese Cultural Festival I Experienced) 2. 我学习中文的故事 (My Story of Learning Chinese) 3. 成长过程中中华文化对我的影响 (Deeply Rooted: The Impact of Chinese Culture on My Growth) 主题说明:2025年,中美文化交流持续深入,文化的桥梁不断延展。我们诚邀海内外青少年用文字描绘心中与中华文化相关的珍贵记忆——可以是参加中国文化节的难忘经历,学习中文过程中的趣事、挑战与成长,一次温馨的传统节日记忆,一道令人回味的中华美食,或一句祖辈传承的谆谆教诲。让我们用笔搭建沟通的桥梁,写下你与中华文化的真实经历、深切感悟与由衷热爱,与世界分享属于你我的文化故事。 三、组织架构 主办单位: 华盛顿中国文化节组委会 • 顾问单位: 全美中文学校协会 • 承办单位: 载道网站(http://thez.us/) 四、参赛对象与组别设置 参赛对象: 年龄6至24岁,热爱中国文化、关心中美关系发展的全球青少年,具备良好的写作与表达能力。 比赛组别: •小学组 • 初中组 •高中组 • 留学生组(来美生活、学习5年及以下) • 英语组(以英文参赛) 中国学生组(须以英文写作) 五、作品要求 • 题目自拟,主题鲜明,内容真实,结构清晰,文笔流畅。 • 鼓励展示独特视角与创新思维。 • 字数要求:300—2000字之间。(低年级组适当降低字数要求) 每位参赛者最多提交一篇中文作品及一篇英文作品,两者内容不得雷同或重复。 六、比赛方式与流程 为规避AI写作争议,大赛采用“初赛+现场复赛”方式。 初赛:自由投稿,由专家评审团评选进入复赛的作品。 复赛:在大华府地区设赛点,现场出题、写作、评选。 颁奖典礼:所有参赛者受邀前往华盛顿DC参加颁奖典礼。 所有符合刊登标准的作品将发表于载道网站,并由文化节颁发获奖证书。优秀作品还将参与网络公示和人气票选,角逐“网络人气奖”。鼓励教师推荐学生投稿,根据推荐数量与质量,评选“伯乐奖”以表彰积极组织和指导的教师或团体。所有参赛作品将整理成册出版。 七、投稿方式与时间安排 投稿方式: 参赛作品通过网上提交。选手需扫描二维码,填写完整参赛信息表,并上传稿件(Word 或 PDF)。 咨询:zaidaothez@gmail.com 李老师703-344-4172 王老师301-250-0119 详情和最新信息请关注载道网站 http://thez.us/ 及相关宣传渠道。 时间安排(暂定): • 截稿日期: 2025年9月21日 • 初赛结果公布: 2025年10月18日 复赛时间及颁奖典礼: 2025年11月2日 八、文化节现场活动安排 载道网站同学们将参加华盛顿中国文化节现场活动,设立展位推广大赛,并组织《中华文化知多少》互动挑战(升级版),吸引更多青少年关注与参与。欢迎同学们踊跃参与文化节现场活动。 九、颁奖典礼 本届作文大赛新增大华府地区复赛,进入复赛的选手将集中现场写作。组委会将邀请权威人士现场出题、评分并公布结果。大赛颁奖典礼将由载道网站独立组织。热忱欢迎广大青少年积极参与,让我们共同在“中国⽂化节”中绽放智慧之花,共同传承和传播中华⽂化的美丽。 3rd Washington Chinese Cultural Festival Junior Essay Competition Guidelines 1. General Information The Washington Chinese Cultural Festival has been successfully held for 22 years andis one of the most influential cultural exchange events in the Chinese American community. Since 2023, TheZ.us (http://thez.us/) has organized two successful youth essay competitions. The 2025 3rd competition officially launched in June. This is a great opportunity to showcase talent and express love for Chinese culture. Whether you are a Chinese American raised in the U.S., an international student studying in the U.S. or China, or a non-Chinese youth passionate about Chinese culture, we warmly welcome your participation! The essay competition, as a key brand activity of the festival, has attracted widespread attention and enthusiastic participation from the youth. It has become a vital bridge for promoting Chinese culture and fostering China-U.S. youth exchanges. At an award ceremony, Chinese Embassy Consul General Zhu Di noted: “The Washington Chinese Cultural Festival is an important platform for China-U.S. cultural exchange, and the essay competition provides youth with the opportunity to showcase talent and express cultural identity.” Founded in 2021 by Chinese American youth, TheZ.us is a bilingual platform dedicated to encouraging Chinese American youth to write in Chinese and promote cultural heritage. Its mission is: “Using writing to carry values, make friends through words, pass on culture with ink, and connect the world through text.” The platform has more than 10 editors and youth reporters, has received over 400 submissions, and has published more than 700 Chinese and English works. We invite youth worldwide to write about their treasured memories related to Chinese culture — whether an unforgettable festival experience, funny or challenging moments learning Chinese, warm memories of traditional holidays, a delicious Chinese dish, or wise words passed down through generations. Let’s use writing to build bridges, share true experiences, heartfelt reflections, and sincere love for Chinese culture with the world. 3. Participants and Groups Eligibility: Youth aged 6–24 worldwide who love Chinese culture and care about China-U.S. relations, with good writing and expression skills. Groups: • Elementary school group • Middle school group • High school group • International student group (in U.S. for 5 years or less) • English group (entries in English; Chinese students must submit in English) 5. Submission Requirements • Original title, clear theme, authentic content • Well-organized, fluent writing • Unique perspective and creativity encouraged • 300–2000 words (fewer words allowed for younger groups) • Maximum one Chinese and one English submission per participant (no duplication of content) 6. Process To address AI writing concerns, the competition consists of preliminary and on-site final rounds. • Preliminary: Open submission, expert judging to select finalists • Final: On-site in the Greater Washington area with live topic assignment, writing, and judging • Award Ceremony: All participants invited to Washington, DC, for the event. Qualified works will be published on TheZ.us and awarded certificates. Outstanding works will also be featured online for public voting for the Popularity Award. Teachers recommending students may earn a Talent Scout Award based on the number and quality of submissions. All works will be compiled into a publication. 7. Festival On-Site Activities TheZ.us students will participate in the festival, promote the competition at a booth, and organize an upgraded version of the “How Much Do You Know About Chinese Culture” challenge. All youth are welcome to join on-site activities. 9. Award Ceremony This year’s competition features a new on-site final in Greater Washington. Finalists will write on-site with a live topic assignment and judging. The award ceremony will be independently organized by TheZ.us.
