SC Innovative Technologies, LLC is a well-funded, emerging web startup that is headquartered in Laurel, MD and has operations in Beijing, China. The Company is currently looking for a well-rounded Software Engineer / Web Developer who is familiar with the growing Web 2.0 landscape and desires to contribute in a fast-paced startup environment. The candidate must be able to develop robust, elegant, web-based applications, and have a solid understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development in a consumer-oriented, large-scale environment.

As a Software Engineer, you will participate in the entire life-cycle of product development. Day to day responsibilities will include:
$ E. `8 d5 G+ n% [Building the web tier of the application using Java-based components such as Struts, JSP, JavaScript, and Servlets.
! m% y8 H+ m4 F) k* C& BAssist with the design and development of upcoming features and product versions.$ q, J# Y& ^6 [; W7 v/ [
Working with a team of developers to design and implement effective and scalable technical solutions.6 ]0 i7 k' M& L G
0 ~& u2 c4 T+ E9 h' n& ?. h; d
REQUIREMENTS J2 G" X# A+ \$ i
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is required. An advanced degree or professional licensing is a plus.
" b1 w/ u9 C. S* }: h7 S% O* q1-3+ years developing consumer-facing websites and applications.
O5 ]( T& }# [& w% C- aStrong Java skills and object-oriented design experience, including working knowledge of Java core libraries, design patterns, J2EE, CSS, Struts, JSP, Javascript, and Servlets.* n. x( {$ ~1 w- ^5 V7 C$ R
Hands-on experience with Ajax, Hibernate, Quartz, Memcached, and Tomcat is a plus.
2 }. h: L9 ?/ F6 e5 H4 lExperience in database design and SQL is preferred. MySQL a plus.
0 {/ T' t8 ~8 ~$ d* Y8 ^4 d6 _Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, object caching, XML/JSON web services, and agile development methodologies desired.& X4 `8 q6 i# ^3 d3 i# S5 }9 H' _
