Position Description

Performweb development and ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of the data-drivenweb applications. Will be responsible for software development tasks includingrequirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, and integration. Willperform coding in Java, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML/JSON, and SQL.

Required Skills

4years experience in web development, of which, at least 3 years must be indeveloping enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE). Otherrequirements include:

·       Experiencewith Java, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML/JSON, and SQL webapplication implementations

·       Experiencein creating, implementing, testing, and maintaining full-featured "web2.0" dynamic database-driven web applications, including user interfacedesign, business logic, and data retrieval modules

·       Knowledgeablewith the following software: Apache, JRun, JBoss, Java/J2EE, JDBC, Eclipse,Notepad++, Subversion, Netbeans, and Maven

·       Mustbe familiar with development tools such as IDEs and configuration controlsystems

·       Experiencerequired in object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, web services,XML and related technologies

·       Experiencewith developing web applications in multi-tier architectures and with unittesting

·       Understandingof web application security and secure coding practices

·       Experiencewith source code management, software version control, and documentation

·       Abilityto learn new concepts and technologies quickly and independently

·       Mustpossess strong verbal and written communication skills, organization skills,and be detail-oriented

·       Abilityto interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic,and tactful manner

·       Abilityto work under tight deadlines and follow configuration management procedures

·       Abilityto work independently and also is able to work as a team player

PreferredSkills:

·       Experiencewith C++ application development

·       Experiencewith application servers (e.g.,JBoss, GlassFish, WebLogic, etc.)

·       JavaEnterprise Edition (JEE)

·       Familiaritywith the use and integration of Web 2.0 technologies

·       Knowledgeof SQL and experience with mobile-browser optimized websites

·       Familiaritywith Section 508 compliance and experience with government web securityrequirements.

Mustbe able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enterthe applicable government facility.

Education

BA/BSin Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent.
