Looking for a SQL development team member that supports the Energy Compensation System (ECS) for the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) at the US Department of Labor (DoL). The position is on site at the DoL facility at 3rd and Constitution in Washington DC and is conveniently located near the Judiciary Square Metro station. This is a full time SQL Developer position. The selected candidate will perform the following: § Deliver Monthly and on-demand reports § Directly participate in client calls § Responsible for developing external reporting using multiple SQL databases Routinely writes queries and stored procedures in SQL, § Reviews reports for quality and data integrity, and sends them on for Quality Assurance checks. § Develop requirements and review them with respect to the data and application. § Must possess a well-developed ability to communicate verbally and in written form with both technical and non-technical audiences. § Ability to work in a close team environment is critical. § Candidate is required to possess or successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and FBI Criminal History Check § Experience with Microsoft Access and VBA a plus Qualifications: - Candidates must be detail oriented and be able to manage work to meet delivery schedules
- 2 – 5 years SQL and database experience required, DB2 a plus
- 2 – 5 years Stored Procedure development a plus
- Demonstrated competence at analyzing existing stored procedures, functions, packages, and views
- Must be a Team Player and Quick Learner
